Wilmington Youth Soccer Seeking Spring In-Town Coaches (PreK-Grade 5)

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington Youth Soccer is currently seeking volunteer coaches for its spring in-town soccer program.  No prior coaching experience is needed.  Click HERE to sign up to volunteer.  Coaching expectations can be read HERE or below:

Pre-K and Kindergarten

You only meet on Game day and here is how the day is run:

1) 30 minutes before your assigned time you will need to be at the fields. Here all coaches will review 2 activities with our Technical Director. He will walk everyone through the activities and you can ask questions. Essentially our Technical Director will teach you 2 drills and then you will in turn then teach the kids on your team.

2) The first 25 minutes of your scheduled time coaches will run these activities with your team. (Team sizes are about 5-6 players per coach)

3) 5 minute break

4) 25 minute scrimmage – 3 players from each team on the field.
– You will have to rotate your players (approximately every 5 minutes)
– The coaches will help with coordinate the scrimmage (No Ref’s at this level).
