POLICE LOG for January 22: Trouble On The Train Tracks, Hit & Run

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, January 22, 2016:

  • A Reading Avenue caller reported their toddler was locked in the bathroom.  Before police arrived, caller was able to get the door open. (7:34am)
  • Wilmington Fire Department put on a train track fire on Main Street. (8:08am)
  • A train “died” on the tracks near an intersection on Concord Street.  Police helped direct traffic as technicians repaired the train. (1:08pm)
  • A train was experiencing malfunctions on Middlesex Avenue, backing up traffic.  (2:09pm)
  • Peter Pisano (73, Wilmington) was issued a summons for leaving the scene of property damage and failure to stop/yield.  Pisano was allegedly involved in a hit and run in front of Simards on Main Street. (2:21pm)
  • A Carter Lane resident reported she took a stray cat in, the cat bit her, and she requested to speak with the Animal Control Officer. (4:24pm)
