POLICE LOG for January 19: Threat Made Against Shawsheen Elementary School

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are TEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, January 19, 2016:

  • Roman Gonzalez (47, Lawrence) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. (2:14am)
  • Police observed a suspicious individual at Mill Road and Chestnut Street.  Situation checked OK — it was just a newspaper delivery driver. (2:33am)
  • A black 2012 Toyota Crolloa, a gray 2010 Ford Focus and a red 2004 Ford Explorer were involved in a crash at Salem Street and Middlesex Avenue. No injuries reported. (7:20am)
  • Suspicious activity (what we later learned was some sort of automated threat received by the school) was reported at the Shawsheen School. (11:01am)
  • A gray 2012 GMC Acadia and a white 2010 Chevy Express were involved in a crash on Butters Row. No injuries reported. (2:25pm)
  • A gray 2011 Honda Pilot and a black 2008 Lincoln Navigator were involved in a hit and run accident on Main Street. (5:05pm)
  • Caller reported his vehicle’s window was smashed out while at Valenti Electronics on Main Street. No items were missing from vehicle. (5:20pm)
  • K9 Ridic went through some trianing at the Town Park on Main Street. (5:27pm)
  • A Little Tikes Cottage was reported in the middle of the road on Lawrence Street.  Police dragged it back into a yard.  It appeared the wind blew it into the street. (6:13pm)
  • A missing juvenile was reported from the Milestone Group Home on High Street. (8:53pm)  A second juvenile was later reported missing. (10:33pm)
