POLICE LOG for January 16: Haverhill Man Allegedly Steals $1,500 From Wilmington Senior; Drug Incident

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, January 16, 2016:

  • A large pot hole was reported on Milton Way. Police notified DPW. (12:25am)
  • A missing juvenile returned to the Milestone Group Home on High Street. (1:28am) Another missing juvenile was located by the Chelsea Police. (2:54pm)  A juvenile was then reported missing from the home. (11:07pm)
  • A downed tree was reported in the roadway on Butters Row.  Police notified Tree Department. (10:17am)
  • An Ash Street caller reported sometime last night, 10 wooden stakes he uses as markers for snow plows were smashed. (10:49am)
  • Town Manager reported an individual was riding an ATV around the field behind Town Hall. (12:36pm)
  • Gerald Ahern (47, Wilmington) was issued a summons for possessing a Class B substance.  Police encountered Ahern after an anonymous caller reported a man was swinging a hammer into traffic on Clark Street. (2:48pm)
  • Christopher Hope (28, Haverhill) was issued a summons for larceny over $250 from an individual who is 60 years or older or disabled.  The larceny was for approximately $1,500. (5:22pm)
