Wilmington Methodist Church Chili Cook-Off Set For January 31

WILMINGTON, MA – The second annual Wilmington United Methodist Church Chili Cook-Off and Wild West Arrest will take place on Sunday, January 31, from 1pm to 3pm, at the Church (87 Church Street).

Prizes will be given for (1) best, hottest and most unique chili; (2) best cornbread; and (3) and (3) best brownies.  There will also be a junior competition for best and most fun Jello recipe.

Registration for the competition is due by Sunday, January 24.  Registration forms can be found HERE.

In addition to the contests, participants and attendees may get “arrested” and get a “Wild West Arrest Wanted Poster” of themselves taken, which they can purchase for $3. Jailbirds can get released by fulfilling community service or paying the “bail” set by the sheriff.

Admission is $5 for children under 10 and $10 per person (10 and up), with a $25 family limit.  Proceeds from the event will benefit the WUMC Youth Group.
