Wilmington Knights of Columbus Chili & Dessert Cook-Off Set For January 29

WILMINGTON, MA – The public is invited to the first annual Wilmington Knights of Columbus Chili & Dessert Cook-Off  on Friday, January 29, from 7pm to 9pm, at the KofC Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue) in the Member’s Lounge.  Enter through the hall’s back entrance.

For the Chili Contest, four contestants will bring their homemade chili in a slow cooker or crock pot to be sampled by attending guests!  The top two first round vote getters will go into the final round to be judged by local fireman Bob Woods for the first place title & bragging rights!  Contestants for the chili cook-off have already been finalized.

Local pastry chef Kara Bernardo of Karabelle Bakery will give a cooking demonstration during the event.

For the Dessert Contest, participants are asked to simply bring any dessert that are cut into shareable pieces for attending guests.  The best dessert, based on popular vote, will win first prize and bragging rights.  No preregistration is required.

Guests are encouraged to bring along snacks/dinner or order food to be delivered right to their table.  Guests are asked not to bring beverages.
