WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a list of FREE upcoming programs for adults, teens and kids at the Wilmington Memorial Library.

Registration begins 30 days prior to the event. Adult Events:

Movie Night – Everest
Tuesday, January 19, 6:30pm
This month’s feature movie is Everest (PG-13) with Josh Brolin. On the morning of May 10, 1996, climbers from two expeditions start their final ascent toward the summit of Mount Everest. Challenged by the harshest conditions imaginable, the teams must endure blistering winds and freezing temperatures in an epic battle to survive nearly impossible odds.

Using Shopping to Teach Your Child About Money *RR
Wednesday, January 20, 7-8:30pm
Learn how to make shopping with your children a fun learning experience rather than a chore. With pre-shopping family discussion and activities, you can make your child your shopping partner while teaching them solid money management skills. We’ll share tips on how to make a game out of shopping; getting your child involved in making a shopping list; savvy saving strategies; needs vs. wants; the pros & cons of allowances and much more. Parents of children ages 2-8 only.

Songs and Stories from WWII
Thursday, January 21, 2:30pm
This program recalls the music and brings to light the fascinating and unfamiliar stories about some of our most beloved American songs from 1939 – 1945. Ramblin‘ Richard Kruppa is a retired professor, who studied Gospel and American folk music.

Join Elaine Sousa to make an enchanting winter scene in a mason jar. Grades 4-8

Drop-In Storytime
Friday, January 22, 10am
Drop in for stories, songs, rhymes and a fun craft! Space is limited, tickets will be distributed on first-come, first served basis. Ages: 2-5 and one or more adults.

Book Discussion: Grades 4-6 *RR
Friday, January 22, 3:45pm
Join us for a book discussion of Legend of the Ghost Dog by E. C. Kimmel. Pick up copies of the books at the kids’ check out desk. Grades 4-6
