POLICE LOG for January 7: 2 Kids Seen On Silver Lake; Bobcat Taken For Joy Ride

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, January 7, 2016:

  • A Bobcat machine was vandalized at Howland Development on Industrial Way.  An unauthorized person entered it, drove it around, and got it stuck in the mud. (9:41am)
  • A caller reported that sometime within the past hour, her vehicle was struck in the parking lot on Winchester Family Medical Center on Salem Street. (10:24am)
  • “Hold up” alarm at Market Basket was accidentally activated. (10:24am)
  • A hypodermic needle was found on Middlesex Avenue. Police retrieved it and returned it to the station for safe disposal. (12:54pm)
  • A black 2011 Kia Sportage and a blue 2016 Toyota Scion were involved in a crash at Ballardvale Street and Research Drive. No injuries reported. (1:28pm)
  • A Lake Street caller reported two younger males were going out onto Silver Lake with skates.  Caller feels the lake hasn’t been frozen long enough. Police were unable to locate the males. (4:38pm)
  • A blue 2014 Chevy Cruze and a gray 2006 Nissan Murano were involved in a crash in the parking lot as MKS Astex on Idustrial Way. No injuries reported. (5:42pm)
