POLICE LOG for January 6: ATV vs. Train; Rollover On Middlesex; Attempted B&E On Mill Rd.

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, January 6, 2016:

  • A green 2004 Chevy Trailblazer struck a post in front of Cumberland Farm on Main Street.  No injuries reported.  Vehicle was towed by AAA. (1:36am)
  • A missing juvenile from the Milestone Group Home returned. (7:00am)
  • Police issued a summons to Rosimere Nunes DaMasceno (45, Everett) for operating a motor vehicle in violation of a license restriction and failure to stop/yield. (5:40pm)
  • An attempted break-in occurred at a house on Mill Road. Footprints were noted in the snow heading towards the woods. Woburn Police assisted in searching the perimeter, but no one was found.  (9:36pm)
  • A green 2014 Subaru Impreza struck a Verizon pole and rolled over near the Congregatioanl Church on Middlesex Avenue. No injuries noted. (9:46pm)
  • A Valyn Lane resident reported a highly intoxicated man walking down the street, carrying a helmet.  Man described as in his 40’s wearing a Celtics jacket.  Police determined that an ATV struck a train on Salem Street and the operator fled on foot. Tewksbury Police assisted in searching for operator, who was not located. (9:56pm)
