POLICE LOG for December 31: 4 Kids Missing From Group Home, Nursing Home Mystery

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, December 31, 2015:

  • A gray 2014 Dodge Durango, a gray 2004 Volkswaggen Passat, and a gray 2008 Subaru Forester were involved in a crash at Middlesex Avenue and North Street.  No injuries reported. (9:15am)
  • A gray 2009 Honda Accord and a white 2014 Toyota Tacoma were involved in a minor car crash. No injuries reported. (10:26am)
  • A caller reported an aggressive dog running loose on Boutwell Street.  Police notified the Billerica Animal Control Officer. (1:01pm)
  • A Main Street caller reported malicious damage to their lawn and hedges overnight. (1:17pm)
  • An anonymous caller reported that a truck went over the Buttersrow Bridge that was likely overweight.  Police were unable to locate the vehicle. (2:04pm)
  • A Forest Street caller notified police of a solicitor on her street.  Police spoke with the man, who was conducting a survey for Nielsen Cable.  Man was advised by the police. (4:08pm)
  • Woodbriar Nursing Home contacted police to let them know a resident’s phone was misused by an unknown person.  Calls were made to the Dominican Republic totaling $23.62. (5:15pm)
  • 4 juveniles were reported missing from the Milestone Group Home on High Street. (7:39pm)
