WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TWELVE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, December 29, 2015:
- Police checked in on a group of kids walking down the street at Shawsheen Avenue and Cushing Drive. Police transported children to their home and spoke with a parent. (4:19am)
- Employees of the Department of Public Works set off the alarm at the DPW Building. Employees were out early to begin preparations for sanding due to the wintry weather. (4:37am)
- A gray 2003 Dodge Neon struck a tree on Shawsheen Avenue. No injuries. Vehicle was towed. (8:10am)
- A red 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee struck a RMLD pole on Glen Road. One occupant was taken to Winchester Hospital with an injury. Damage was done to the pole. Vehicle was towed. (9:26am)
- A tire was slashed on a vehicle in the parking lot of Woodbriar Nursing Home on West Street. Nursing Home requested extra patrols overnight. (10:57am)
- Amanda L. Provitola (30, Wilmington) was arrested for OUI Liquor (3rd offense), operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock; marked lane violations; and failure to stop.
- A caller reported that his parked black 2010 4D Infinity was struck by a plow in a parking lot on Concord Street. Wanted incident logged. (3:25pm)
- A red 1998 Dodge Ram struck a Verizon pole on Ballardvale Street. No injuries reported. Truck towed. (3:28pm)
- A red 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo and a white 2011 Chevy Silverado were involved in a crash on Adams Street. No injuries reported. Cement pillars were damaged. (4:44pm)
- 2-car crashes occurred on Chestnut Street (5:21pm); Glen Road at Brattle Street (5:28pm); and Burlington Avenue at Marion Street (6:00pm). No injuries noted.
- Manager of Burger King hangs up on Police. On call back, Manager says she dialed 911 after a customer began arguing over his order, but he left the store, so she hung up. Police advise her to call back if the customer returns. (6:23pm)
- A Marion Street resident reported gift cards were stolen sometime today. (8:53pm)
