WILMINGTON, MA — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, December 27, 2015:
- Police observed a possible disabled motor vehicle on Main Street. It turned out to just be an Uber driver putting directions into his GPS. (1:16am)
- A delivery driver witnessed our people trying to break into Burger King on Lowell Street. Driver stated they left on foot into the woods. Police used a K9 to search the surrounding areas and found no one. (1:59am) Police followed up with an employee and will get in contact with the managers to obtain the video surveillance tape. (6:27am)
- Parties called to say they’d be dropping off unwanted firearms to the police station for proper disposal. (10:46am)
- An Engelwood Drive resident reported a Playstation 4, valued at $450, was stolen from his unlocked car on Christmas Eve. (2:37pm)
- A Wildwood Street caller reported a golf cart from the high school may have been stolen and left by the pond behind her residence. Police notified DPW. DPW secured the cart, which belonged to Gilbane Construction. (2:21pm)
- Police responded to a disturbance caused by an intoxicated 39 year-old man damaging things in a house. Man was voluntarily transported by the Fire Department. (8:31pm)
- Police assisted the Fire Department with a CO detector activation at a home in Horseshoe Lane. (8:36pm)
- A missing juvenile was reported from the Milestone Group Home on High Street. (10:46pm)
