POLICE LOG for December 24: Car Accidents; Hit & Run; Car vs. Pole

WILMINGTON, MA  — 52 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Thursday, December 24, 2015.  Here are SEVEN highlights:

  • A Foley Farm Road resident reported an unknown vehicle running with one occupant. Police spoke with occupant, who is a private investigator. PI will come to the station to check in. (8:31am)
  • A walk-in party reported a hit and run at Eastern Bank on Main Street. Party obtained the license plate of the other vehicle. Police contacted operator of other vehicle. Both parties exchanged information. (12:20pm)
  • A white 2009 Volkswagen XC90 and a gray 19999 Honda Civic were  involved in a minor crash on Main Street. One driver complained of back pain was transported to Lahey by the Fire Department. (1:59pm)
  • The door of a Hyundai Santa Fe struck the mirror of a blue 2015 Mercedes next to it in the Target parking lot. (3:13pm)
  • An anonymous caller reported a vehicle struck a mailbox and telephone pole on Woburn Street. (6:54pm)
  • A vehicle went off the road and into the woods on 93 North, near Exit 40. State Police handled the crash. (6:57pm)
  • Reports of an erratic operator on Lowell Street. Vehicle got onto 93 South. Police notified the State Police. (11:30pm)
