POLICE LOG from December 21: 30+ Vehicles Burglarized Overnight

WILMINGTON, MA  — 74 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Monday, December 21, 2015.  Here are SIX highlights:

  • More than 30 vehicles were entered overnight on Carolyn Road, Linda Road, Marcia Road and Pineridge Road.  (Unclear if all vehicles were unlocked, but in many cases, entries noted that vehicles were unlocked.) Wallets, purses, checkbooks, loose change, scratch tickets and, in at least one instance, a debit card and social security card, were taken.
  • A gray 2011 Honda Pilot and a red/white 2005 Sterling Acterra were involved a minor accident at Sunrise Market on Main Street. No injuries reported. (11:24am)
  •  A caller reported finding a pink purse, which appears stolen, at Transwetern on Ballardvale Street. Police retrieved the purse. (12:40pm)
  • A white 2012 Lexus RX350 and a red 2001 Hyundai Elantra were involved in a crash on Main Street. No injuries reported. (1:57pm)
  • A caller reported a car bumper was in the middle of the street on Route 62. Caller was unable to give an exact location. Police was unable to locate. (2:01pm)
  • A Deming Way resident reported she saw 2 rats running around her apartment and requested assistance. Police advised her they will contact the Housing Authority in the morning and have situation the situation checked out. (11:02pm)
