POLICE LOG from December 20: Anyone Missing Their Underwear?; Coyote Sighting

WILMINGTON, MA  — 45 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Sunday, December 20, 2015.  Here are NINE highlights:

  • A party turned in a 30-round AR-15 magazine that belonged to their recently deceased father. (12:05am)
  • An emergency was called in by Life Alert for a resident on Burlington Avenue. Resident called Life Alert, who notified them it was a mistake.  Life Alert cancelled request. (4:18am)
  • A caller from Avalon Oaks reported her friend’s boyfriend just broke into their apartment and is “trashing it.”  Man left on his own accord.  Police then assisted the man in retrieving some items from the apartment. (9:47am)
  • An Andover Street caller reported they accidentally ran over their father’s leg.  Fire Department responded and transported man to area hospital. (10:16am)
  • A Middlesex Avenue caller reported two large coyotes in the field next to his residence. Coyotes did not appear sick or injured. Police gave him the contact information for the Environmental Police. (10:36am)
  • A Middlesex Avenue caller reported she heard a female scream outside her home on Friday night and then found a female pair of jeans and soiled underwear in her backyard this morning.  Police will have clothes disposed of. (11:19am)
  • A white 2015 Subaru Legacy and a gray 2012 Suzuki Grand Vitara were involved in a crash at CVS on Main Street. No injuries reported. (12:35pm)
  • 2 dirt bikes and an ATV was reported riding up and down the roadway on Border Avenue. Vehicles were gone by the time police arrived. (3:31pm)
  • A black 2015 Chevy Sonic struck a tree on Woburn Street. Airbag deployed. Car towed. No injuries reported. (4:38pm)
