POLICE LOG from December 17: Christmas Lights Stolen, Garbage Truck Issues

WILMINGTON, MA  — 45 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Thursday, December 17, 2015.  Here are SIX highlights:

  • A King Street caller reported an issue with people littering in his yard.  He just wanted the incident logged. (7:22am)
  • Police checked with the manager of the Target on Ballardvale Street about a car that’s been parked there for an extended period of time. Manager stated the car’s owner is not an employee.  The store will have the situation taken care of. (9:36am)
  • A parked truck was blocking a garbage truck from entering Verdun Road. (1:00pm)
  • A gray 2015 Honda Civic and a blue 2012 Honda Pilot were involved in a crash at Church Street and Adams Street.  At least one vehicle had an airbag deployed. One vehicle was towed. No injuries noted. (6:11pm)
  • An Andrew Street resident reported Christmas lights were stolen out of her front yard sometime today, valued at approximately $40. (6:45pm)
  • A gray 2005 Volkswagen Touareg and a black 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee were involved in a crash in front of Metro at Wilmington Station on Buurlington Avenue. No injuries noted. (7:23pm)
