POLICE LOG from December 11: School Bus Break Down, Marijuana, Road Rage

WILMINGTON, MA  — 52 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Friday, December 11, 2015.  Here are NINE highlights:

  • K9 Ridic helped with a narcotics search of Hopkinton High School. (8:07am)
  • A party walked in to report that he had a verbal altercation with an employee at Advanced Auto Parts on Main Street. He wanted the incident logged. (9:32am)
  • A juvenile was spotted sitting on the Route 125 overpass.  Police gave the teen a ride to work. (10:27am)
  • A school bus broke down on Cherokee Lane. Company requested an officer to standby until a replacement, or mechanic, arrived.  A replacement bus picked up the children. (3:00pm)
  • A road rage incident was reported in front of the Wilmington Center train station. Police spoke with both parties, advised them, and sent them on their way. (5:00pm)
  • An Avalon Oaks resident reported the odor of marijuana coming in from her vents.  Police walked around the apartment hallways and into the caller’s apartment and could not smell anything. (6:52pm)
  • A gray 2002 Honda Accord broke down, with a tire falling off and the axel breaking, at Federal Street and Middlesex Avenue. AAA was enroute with a 30-minute ETA. Police decided to have the vehicle towed as it was creating a hazard. (7:05pm)
  • A black 2005 Chevy Silverado struck and killed a deer on Woburn Street. (7:14pm)
  • 2 loose dogs from West Street and 3 loose dogs from Westdale Avenue were recovered. (8:54pm, 11:05pm)
