POLICE LOG from December 10: Car Fire, Hit & Run, Larceny, Coyotes

WILMINGTON, MA  — 82 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Thursday, December 10, 2015.  Here are ELEVEN highlights:

  • Numerous vehicles on Blanchard, Kendall, Mozart, Marietta, Bailey and Aldrich were given winter parking ban warnings. (2:26am) Additional warnings given in Pouliot Place neighborhood and Ohio St. (4:51am)
  • A burglary was reported on Fox Run Drive. A resident had her husband’s vehicle had its window smashed and items appeared to be missing. (6:06am)
  • A Linda Road resident received an IRS scam phone call. (10:37am)
  • The Fire Department responded to a car fire, fully involved, on Mill Road. Detective Nally responded to scene. Police notified the owner. (11:19am)

  • A caller reported a barber shop employee came out of the shop and began to threaten him on Lowell Street. Police responded and found the argument to be verbal in nature. Police advised both parties. (11:30am)
  • Kristina Lussier (North Billerica, 31) was placed into protective custody for larceny (under $250) from Target. (11:47am)
  • A tree fell on Grand Street, blocking part of the roadway. Police contacted DPW. (12:50pm)
  • A North Street caller reported two coyotes have been in their yard for the past few days. The Billerica Animal Control Officer was notified. (1:00pm)
  • Police responded to a suspicious item left near the front door of the Winchester Family Medical Center on Salem Street. Item was a lunch bag and checked OK. (4:23pm)
  • Daniel Goodwin, 18, Wilmington) was issued a summons for leaving the scene of property damage. Goodwin was allegedly involved in a hut & run on School Street. (5:40pm)
  • Police investigated possible drug activity between three youths in the Wilmington Plaza parking lot. Parties checked OK. (8:54pm)
