WCTV Announces Hiring of New Executive Director

WILMINGTON, MA – Wilmington Community Television announced it has hired its next Executive Director.  WCTV posted the message below on its website last week, written by Board President George Breslin:

Shaun Neville has accepted the position of Executive Director for WCTV and will assume the position starting Thursday, December 10, 2015.

Shaun has a long history with WCTV. Shaun was involved in the Youth Program and volunteered at the studio from middle school through high school. He attended Syracuse University where he graduated with a dual major of Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. When he graduated, he took a position as News Producer at WPTZ, Platzburg, NY producing the 6PM and 11PM newscasts. After two years he moved on to the position of Special Projects Producer for Hearst Television Washington Bureau where he coordinated national political coverage for 24 local affiliate stations, (including WCVB TV Boston). After four years, he had the opportunity to move closer to home, and assumed the position of Executive Producer for WMUR TV Manchester, NH. Shaun and hs family have moved back to Massachusetts and now reside in Reading MA.

Shaun brings with him an excitement for the future of WCTV with many new and innovative ideas. He is a goals driven individual who not only mentors and supports his staff, but is one to roll up his sleeves and work alongside them in order to ensure that goals and objectives are met. After speaking with Shaun at length, I as well as the hiring committee feel strongly that Shaun will be a great addition to the WCTV staff and a great ambassador for WCTV in the community.

Please join me in welcoming Shaun to the WCTV family and providing him any needed support and assistance to ensure his success and the success of WCTV.

Sincerely,

George Breslin
WCTV Board President
