WILMINGTON, MA — 47 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Friday, November 27, 2015. Here are SIX highlights:
- Lisa Hitchins (21, Wilmington) was arrested for an OUI (Liquor) and Marked Lanes Violations. A caller reported an erratic operator coming from 93 South, Exit 40, possibly striking a guardrail. Hitchins was arrested on Church Street. (4:48am)
- A brown 2003 Chevy Impala and a white 1997 Ford Explorer were involved in a minor crash in the Market Basket parking lot. Fire Department was requested to provide medical assistance to a driver. (1:17pm)
- A Marion Street caller reported he had ammunition in his house from his father. He would like an Officer to take it. Police retrieved 55 case shells, along with other types of powder and shells. (2:03pm)
- A Salvation Army employee reported a female customer lost her purse and was yelling at staff to call the police. Employee said “staff was unable to speak to the woman or get her information because she would not stop yelling.” (3:10pm)
- An “abundance” of syringes were found behind the benches on the baseball field behind Town Hall, just before the wooded path. Police retrieved and destroyed them. (4:35pm)
- Wilmington Police assisted with Tewksbury Police to speak with a Wilmington man regarding a larceny theft at Pets Plus in Tewksbury. Police were able to retrieve the stolen item. (8:00pm)
