WILMINGTON, MA — 65 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Tuesday, November 24, 2015. Here are SEVEN highlights:
- A gray 2005 Acura RSX and a white 1997 Chevy Van were involved in a head-on collision on Shawsheen Avenue. One operator was issued a summons for unlicensed operation and marked lanes violation. (6:32am)
- Driver of a brown 1998 Honda Accord was given a written warning for failure to stop for a school bus on Salem Street. (7:33am)
- A caller wanted it logged that she’s being harassed by an unknown person on Facebook. (9:40am)
- A caller reported she recently moved from her home in Wilmington and hasn’t been able to get in touch with her husband for several days. He was supposed to move out the following day. Police conducted a house check. Fire Department forced their way into the home. Man was found ill. Police notified RMLD that house was still being occupied, despite electricity being turned off. Police notified wife. (10:20am)
- A green 2015 Chevy Spark and a white 2015 Subaru Outback were involved in a hit and run on Andover Street. North Reading Police had one of the operators, from North Reading, contact the Wilmington Police, and both drivers exchanged information in the Police Station’s lobby. (6:08pm)
- A red 1999 Jeep struck a pine tree on Salem Street. Jeep then took off towards Ring Avenue. Jeep was located on Biggar Avenue. Driver’s mother was made aware of the incident and will handle. No damage to the tree reported. (6:20pm)
- Motorist came across a deer laying on the side of the road on Stonehedge Driver. Deer was severely injured and euthanized. (11:19pm)
