WILMINGTON, MA — 45 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Sunday, November 22, 2015. Here are EIGHT highlights:
- Police responded an alarm at the Route 38 Smoke Shop on Main Street. Police arrived to an open rear door and an apparent burglary. Police requested K9 assistance and contacted shop’s owner. An open door nearby at Firestone was noted, but determined to be accidental and unrelated. A limo driver for Lynette’s Limo reported seeing a man with a hoodie running down Lowell Street. Police checked the area and were unable to locate the man. Police did speak to 2 parties on Parker Street. (1:50am)
- A Denault Drive caller reported what she believed to be gunshots in the distance. Caller was notified and advised that the sounds were coming from the gun range on Cedar Street in Woburn. (10:14am)
- A Royal Street caller reported a suspicious man in the woods walking around behind their house. Man was wearing black pants and a grey hoodie, described as a white male, average build. Police sent the man on his way. He had a few animal traps set up throughout the woods. (3:01pm)
- The Sirius XM call center reported a customer pressed their emergency button in their vehicle, a blue Camry. Call center was unable to make contact with the driver. Call center called back to report the emergency button had been pressed by mistake. (3:20pm)
- A white 2010 Chrysler SE and a black 2000 Honda Accord were involved in a crash at the Route 62/Route 38 intersection. Unspecified injuries were noted. Mass Highway sanded the area after the accident. (5:06pm)
- A blue 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a white 2000 Ford Windstar were involved in a crash at the intersection of Woburn Street and Salem Street. No injuries noted. An airbag did deploy. (8:50pm)
- A Lawrence Court street sign was noted missing. (10:29pm)
- Anne M. Sullivan (53, Wilmington) was arrested an OUI (Liquor) and marked lanes violations. Sullivan was involved in a 2-car crash on Hopkins Street. (10:54pm)
