POLICE LOG from November 21: Missing Wilmington Dog Found Safe In Belmont

WILMINGTON, MA  — 43 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Saturday, November 21, 2015.  Here are EIGHT highlights:

  • Daniel Joseph McCarthy (25, Wilmington) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to dim headlights. (2:06am)
  • Caller reported a suspicious-looking red cooler in the area of the Reading Cooperative Bank/RMV area and requested police check it out. Police located the item, which was a discarded vacuum. (7:15am)
  • Woburn vet called stating they have a grey and white male tiger cat that was struck on Woburn Street in Wilmington. The cat has died and the vet will hold onto the body in case the owner calls. (8:03am)
  • A caller reported at approximately 10:30am, the operator of a black 2005 Jeep Wrangler threw a cup of coffee through his window and onto his dashboard while on Ballardvale Street. The jeep was last seen getting onto 93 South. (10:45am)
  • A Hillside Way caller reported his wallet was stolen sometime last night. No cash was taken, but his credit card was used. He will follow up with the police when he knows where the card was used. (2:34pm)
  • A Woburn Street caller reported around November 5, he lost a gold chain with a shamrock and diamond in the middle. (2:48pm)
  • A missing Wilmington dog was found safe all the way in Belmont!  A Belmont resident found a boxer mix with collar in her town. She took it to a vet and the microchip came back to a Forest Street address in Wilmington. Police was able to exchange information between Belmont resident and Wilmington dog owner to to return dog. (5:09pm)
  • A noise complaint was made on Stonehedge Drive. There was a gathering/party at a home on the street. Another group that was not invited showed up. There was an argument in the street. The other group was sent on their way. (10:34pm)
