WILMINGTON, MA — 52 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. Here are SIX highlights:
- Police installed 10 car seats during the day.
- An Aldrich Road caller reported sometime overnight, a mailbox was thrown as her vehicle, scratching the rear. (7:50am)
- Box truck struck one of the metal poles in front of a gas pump at Sonny’s Mobile on the Run on Lowell Street. (8:39am)
- Fire Department extinguished a large brush fire behind 95 Glen Road. (2:01pm)
- Caller reported her daughter was riding on a school bus at 2:25pm on Glen Road and got off at Dobson Avenue. Daughter told mother that two men were in car behind the bus, video recording the bus and the students as they walked the down street. (6:07pm)
- An anonymous caller reported 2 males sitting in a small SUV with New Jersey registration in the Market Basket parking lot possibly smoking a Class D substance. As the police responded, the 2 black males fled. 1 loaded firearm was recovered. Read more about the subsequent manhunt HERE. According to the Police Log, Christopher Prophete (20, Cambridge) was arrested for carrying a firearm without a license, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. The suspect, however, gave a false name. According to the police’s press release, the arrested suspect’s actual name is Ahmauri Menard. Menard was charged with carrying a firearm without a license, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, furnishing a false name and social security number following the arrest, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, and 5 default warrants. (8:00pm-midnight)
