POLICE LOG from November 13: Medford Man Arrested; Deer vs. Car; Brush Fire

WILMINGTON, MA  — 65 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Friday, November 13, 2015.  Here are TWELVE highlights:

  • Street sign for Thrush Road at Marie Drive was reported missing. Police contacted DPW. (12:50am)
  • A caller reported she struck a deer around 6:30pm on Main Street last night. The deer ran off. Her vehicle sustained front end damage. She wanted the incident logged for insurance purposes. (7:25am)
  • A Fairfield Road resident reported receiving a fake check from “American Airlines Credit Union.” Caller will contact the Postal Inspector. (8:26am)
  • A brown 2010 Ford Escape and gray 2014 Ford Escape were involved in a minor accident at Cumberland Farm on Main Street. NO injuries noted. (9:35am)
  • A green 2013 Toyota Highlander and a blue 2011 Ford Fusion were involved in a minor accident at Woburn Street and Lowell Street. Parties refused medical attention. One driver was cited for a red light violation. (12:08pm)
  • A caller reported witnessing a man put what appeared to be a rifle in the dumpster at AL Prime on main Street. Police investigated and recovered a wooden toy. (2:46pm)
  • A green 2012 Honda CRV and a white 2009 Ford Phoenix were involved in an accident at Deming Way. No injuries reported. (3:21pm)
  • Police assisted the Fire Department with a brush fire on the highway, south of Exit 39 on 93 South. (5:16pm)
  • Thomas C. Casey (53, Medford) was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license; miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violations; and having an unregistered motor vehicle.  He was pulled over at Middlesex Avenue and Church Street. (5:53pm)
  • Store employee of Eastgate Liquors on Lowell Street reported several customers saw several parties stumbling out of a vehicle in the parking lot in front of the door. Vehicle had left prior to police arrival. (9:34pm)
  • An anonymous caller reported a Longview Road resident had been using his leaf blower for the past three hours. Police spoke with the resident, who said he would stop for the evening. (10:50pm)
  • A caller reported an injured deer in the road on Main Street, near Salvation Army. Deer ran off the road before police arrived. (11:32pm)
