WILMINGTON, MA — 76 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Tuesday, November 3, 2015. Here are TEN highlights:
- William John Sampson (27, Wilmington) was placed in protective custody. (2:24am)
- A black 2013 Chevy Silverado and a red 2011 Ford F250 were involved in a minor motor vehicle crash. Both vehicles lost a mirror and one vehicle had a scuff mark. No injuries reported. (7:21am)
- Melissa Downey (38, Wilmington) was issued a summons for leaving the scene of property damage. Downey was allegedly involved in a hit and run of a parked vehicle at Target. (8:36am)
- A caller reported that last night, around 10:15pm, a deer ran out from the woods and struck his vehicle on Salem Street.(8:42pm)
- A white 2000 Honda Civic and a postal truck were involved in a crash on Lowell Street. Fire Department responded as one party complained of back pain. (9:25am)
- A Lawrence Court caller reported receiving an automated call from a party claiming to be from the Attorney General’s Office on behalf of the IRS. (1:12pm)
- Fire Department handled a large gasoline spill in the roadway on Main Street. (1:46pm)
- Reports of a vehicle parked in the back of the Burger King parking lot with blankets covering all of the windows. Police checked on the driver, who was sleeping. He was sent on his way. (2:17pm)
- An Everett Avenue resident reported a neighbor was dumping yard waste next to her driveway. Police spoke with the neighbor, who agreed to cease dumping the yard waste. (3:57pm)
- Michael Busook (24, Wilmington) was arrested for violating an abuse prevention order, for being a fugitive from justice on a court warrant, and resisting arrest. (7:50pm)
