Comcast To Continue To Provide Wilmington Schools & Library With FREE High-Speed Internet

WILMINGTON, MA — At last night’s Wilmington Board of Selectmen Meeting, Town Manager Jeff Hull provided the board with a letter from Comcast, which read, in part:

Comcast is pleased to announce that it will continue to provide high-speed Internet service to Town of Wilmington schools, and your local library, free of charge again this year, continuing the company’s long standing commitment to the communities we serve.

Comcast has offered free high-speed internet service to schools, libraries and Boys & Girls Club across the region since our arrival in Massachusetts 2003. Comcast also uses an advanced fiber-rich network to deliver free cable television service to schools and other public buildings in Wilmington. The company’s high-speed internet contribution in Wilmington alone has an annual value of more than $54,000.
