Christopher S. Corby “Chris”, age 39, a life-long resident of Wilmington, died peacefully on November 7, 2015. Chris was the cherished son of Robert A. and Janice M. (Ryder) Corby of Wilmington, beloved brother of William J. Petersen, Jr. & his wife Renee of Wakefield and Steven F. Corby & his wife Patricia of Wilmington. Loving Uncle of William J. III & his wife Kelly, Samantha R., & Nicholas S. Petersen, and Jennifer N. & Katherine P. Corby. Chris is also survived by his aunt whom he considered a “second mother” Carol Lamattina, as well as many other dear aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Family & friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Thursday, November 12th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 11th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Memorial donations in Christopher’s name may be made to The Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226.
