POLICE LOG from October 31: Car Accident With Child Not Wearing Seat Belt; Scare For Trick or Treaters

WILMINGTON, MA  — 63 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Saturday, October 31, 2015.  Here are TEN highlights:

  • A possible break-in was noted to an outside storage trailer filled with new tiers at Firestone on Main Street. Alarm went off and damage to trailer was noted. Police put out a BOLO to stop and ID any persons with new tires in their vehicles. (1:15am)
  • Police conducted parking enforcement at Market Basket. (10:26am)
  • A blue 2007 Saturn Ion and a blue 2014 Chevy Cruze were involved in a car crash at Clark Street and Middlesex Avenue. No injuries reported. (11:12am)
  • A black 1986 Honda VT700C motorcycle and a blue 2005 Toyota Sienna were involved in a crash at Butters Row. Motorcyclist refused medical transport by Fire Department. (1:10pm)
  • A Milestone Group Home employee reported a female client ran way from the program without permission and got into a car with an unknown female. Employee was advised to come to station and fill our report. Police sent out a BOLO. (1:19pm) Milestone employee, apparently following vehicle, reported the client jumped out of the car in Stoneham. Wilmington Police advised employee to contact Stoneham Police. (2:31pm)
  • A gray 2000 Toyota Camry and a gray 2014 Kia Sedona were involved in a car accident at Market Basket. No injuries reported. (6:06pm)
  • Cory William Ewing (44, Wilmington) was placed in protective custody. A caller reported that a “suspicious male” kept falling down on Shawsheen Avenue. (6:52pm)
  • Gerald Ahern (47, Wilmington) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration, having an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to stop, having a child (5-12) without a seatbelt, and failure to wear a seat belt. Ahern drove his gray 2010 Ford Focus off the road at Church Street and Clark Street, causing property damage to 77 Church Street. (8:10pm)
  • Multiple complaints of youths in Federal Street area being unruly and throwing objects. Police were unable to locate the youths. (8:36pm)
  • A Faulkner Avenue house was egged around 10:00pm. No damage to house or vehicles. (11:35pm)
