WILMINGTON, MA — 52 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Sunday, November 1, 2015. Here are FOURTEEN highlights:
- An Elm Street caller reported a group of teenagers ran onto their porh, attempted to steal pumpkins, and drove away at a high rate of speed. (12:21am)
- A red 2010 Ford F150 was backed into in Simard’s parking lot. (1:08am)
- An elderly man fell on corner of Woburn Street and Park Street. Man refused medical attention and was released into the custody of hims family. (2:08am)
- Louis B. Wallace (27, Woburn) was arrested for OUI Liquor (2nd offense); Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle; and Marked Lanes Violation. Wallace was involved in a 3-car accident at West Street. (4:16am)
- A caller reported the street sign for Dewey Avenue was missing. (9:07am)
- A caller reported he was in a parking lot and out of gas with no money. Car had Canada plates. Police drove man to nearest gas station and then back to his vehicle. (9:43am)
- Police conducted fire line parking enforcement at Market Basket. (10:27am)
- A Seneca Lane caller reported seeing three underfed cats near his residence. Billerica Animal Control Officer was notified and responded. Officer was able to pick up one of the cats and brought to the vet for treatment. Cat’s owner later called the station and was advised to contact the Billerica Animal Control Officer. (11:11am)
- Fire Department responded to a house fire on Pleasant Road. (2:20pm)
- A black 2011 HD FXDC motorcycle crashed at Shawsheen Avenue and Aldrich Road. Andover and Billerica responded, providing mutual aid. Driver refused transport to medical facility. (2:44pm)
- Reports of youths running by hitting the windows of the stores in the Wilmington Plaza. Police were unable to locate the youths. (4:52pm)
- A Woburn Street caller reported a man in a black pickup truck just pulled up to her mailbox, hit it a couple of times and sped off. Caller was advised to call back should he return. (5:44pm)
- A caller was concerned about an inappropriate Twitter page. (8:54pm)
- Peter Sala (28, Haverhill) was arrested for Breaking & Entering a Vehicle in the Nighttime To Commit A Felony; Possession of a Class B Drug; Possessing Burglarious Instrument. Sala was reported walking around a parking lot on Research Drive, appearing to be looking into vehicles. Caller reported Sala took items from a van and took off towards teh treeline. Police requested a K9 search, but then cancelled it. Police stopped Sala in his vehicle on Ballardvale Street. Car was towed and Sala was brought to the station under arrest. (9:46pm)
