5 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (November 8, 2015)

Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Sunday, November 8, 2015.

#1) The final day of The 30th Annual Greater Boston Sports Collectors Club’s Sports Card & Memorabilia Show takes place from 10am to 4pm at Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road). General admission is $7. Seniors and children under 12 are admitted for free. Autographs, however, are expensive! Sunday’s highlights include: Pedro Martinez (2pm-3pm), Wade Boggs (2pm-3pm), Jim Rice (1pm-2pm), Fred Lynn (1pm-2pm), Carlton Fisk (noon-1pm), Andre Dawson (11:30am-12:30pm), John Smoltz (10:30am-11:30am), and JoJo White (2pm-3pm).

#2) The Wilmington Kiwanis Club is holding its 2nd Annual Cornhole Tournament from noon to 5pm at the Tewksbury VFW Hall (87 Vernon Street.) Registration is $50 per team of two. Learn more HERE.

#3) We’re One Wilmington‘s collection of leftover Halloween candy and costume donations ends TODAY.  Candy and costumes can be dropped off at The Cleaner Spot (209 Main Street), open 11am to 3pm on Sunday, or in the bin at 21 Albany Street. Learn more HERE.

#4) The Burlington Barnes & Noble (98 Middlesex Turnpike) is hosting a Book Fair to benefit Wilmington’s iPods for Wounded Veterans from 9amto 10pm. Simply use Bookfair ID 11668092 at the in-store checkout or before checking out online. A percentage of in-store and online purchases will benefit iPods for Wounded Veterans. #5a) Wilmington Youth Hockey is running a ‘Try Hockey For Free’ event for children ages 4-9 from 2:55pm to 4:10pm at Ristuccia Arena (190 Main Street). Registration online in advance or at 2pm at the rink.  Learn more HERE.

#5b) Wilmington Pop Warner’s D Team hosts Billerica at 9:30am in a playoff matchup at Wilmington High.  Wilmington Pop Warner’s C Team hosts Acton-Boxboro at 11am in a playoff matchup at Wilmington High.

#5c) Wilmington United Methodist Church (87 Church Street) is hosting a free YogArt Class for children (Grades 4 & 5) from 3pm to 4pm. Learn more HERE.
