WILMINGTON, MA — 73 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Thursday, October 29, 2015. Here are FOURTEEN highlights:
- Street sign for Nottingham Drive was reported missing. DPW was notified. (3:23am)
- A caller on Fitz Terrace reported his locked gray 2009 Honda Accord was entered sometime overnight. The sunroof and windows were pushed open. Caller did not believe anything was taken. Caller later says it may have been a malfunction with the car. (8:46am)
- A Grove Avenue caller reported she believed she received an IRS scam call. (9:41am)
- A Woburn Street caller reported she received a an IRS scam call, stating her property was going to be seized and there was an arrest warrant out for her. The calling number was 360-775-2537. (9:56am)
- Estuardo Juan Lopez-Nolasco (18, Lynn) was arrested for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and following to closely on a state highway. Lopez-Nolasco allegedly rear-ended a vehicle at Colonial Fire Place on Main Street. N injuries noted. Officer Cruz acted as a translator. (10:16am)
- Complaints of potholes at the Middlesex Avenue/Glen Road intersection project. (10:24am)
- A Towpath Drive caller received an IRS scam phone call. (1:40pm)
- A Salem Street caller reported her husband received an IRS scam phone call. (2:29pm)
- A Pineridge Road caller reported he received a call from “Eastern Little League Babe Ruth” organization for a fundraiser. He was advised it was a scam. Caller said the call came from a private number. (2:23pm)
- An employee of a business on Research Drive reported wire stolen from property sometime last night. (4:27pm)
- Arching wires were reported on Wildwood Street due to a tree over the Nichols Funeral Home parking lot. Power was knocked out at the library. RMLD was notified and responded. (6:06pm)
- Credit cards that were stolen from Panera Bread in Woburn were used at Target in Wilmington. (9:28pm)
- A Woburn Street caller reported items missing from her home, including a box of cosmetics valued at about $500. (10:54pm)
- A Deming Way Ext. caller reported she has been receiving threatening phone calls. (11:37pm)
