POLICE LOG from October 28: Incidents At Lucci’s And Market Basket, 4 Abandoned Cats

WILMINGTON, MA  — 62 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Wednesday, October 28, 2015.  Here are TEN highlights:

  • Police conducted school bus evacuation drills at West Intermediate School. (8:52am)
  • An injured deer was spotted near Howland Development on Industrial Way. Deer retreated back in the woods when police arrived. (9:06am)
  • Lucci’s Supermarket employee requested to speak with an officer regarding an issue with a customer yesterday. Customer was switching barcodes on products and then checking them out. (10:02am)
  • K9 Ridic was called out for missing person’s search in Lynnfield. (11:16am)
  • Owner of C&J Lawnmower on Main Street reported a couple of occasions this past week when an unknown man was found sleeping in various areas of the property. Caller requested extra checks of the area. Police advised caller to contact them if the person returns. (2:04pm)
  • Caller reported a neighbor was constantly ringing her doorbell. Caller wanted the incident logged. (2:33pm)
  • A 4-vehicle crash occurred at the 93 North ramp and Lowell Street. No injuries reported. (3:42pm)
  • A Butters Row caller reported that her mother had tenants at her residence in Reading that had moved out and left 4 cats and a bag of cat food behind. She was calling to inquire about where to take the cats. Billerica Animal Control Officer, who is temporary serving Wilmington, will try to make arrangements with the Lowell Humane Society. (4:06pm)
  • A black 2010 Ford F150 and a gray 2013 Ford Taurus were involved in a crash at the 93 North Ramp and Concord Street. One driver was transported to Winchester Hospital. (8:11pm)
  • A vehicle struck a pedestrian in the parking lot of Market Basket. No details provided. (8:29pm)
  • Police installed several car seats and many attended the Substance Abuse Awareness program at St. Thomas.
