- Last month, the Wilmington School system released the results of its Youth Risk Behavior Survey, which included eye-opening responses from WMS and WHS students regarding drug, tobacco, and alcohol use.
- School Superintendent Mary DeLai blogged about some of these shocking survey results and discussed what the schools are doing to address them.
- Last week, several organizations partnered together to host a well-attended Substance Abuse Awareness Talk (“Navigating The Troubled Waters of Substance Abuse”), which included powerful remarks from a Wilmington mom who lost her son to a drug overdose.
- Next week, Wilmington Public Schools and the Middlesex Partnerships For Youth is hosting a Parent Education Workshop (“Combating Underage Substance Use And Abuse”)
