POLICE LOG from October 24: Billerica Man Arrested; Disrespectful Boys At Shawsheen Playground

WILMINGTON, MA — 38 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Saturday, October 24, 2015.  Here are SEVEN highlights:

  • Duke James Michaud (57, Billerica) was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and for having an unregistered motor vehicle. He was pulled over at Glen Road and Faulkner Ave. (2:06am)
  • A caller reported traffic on Wildwood Street was backed up due to the library’s shredding event going on in the library’s lower lot. Police also reported a funeral was occurring at Nichols Funeral Home. (9:19am)
  • Police conducted parking and fire lane enforcement at Market Basket. (10:24am)
  • A walk-in party reported a Middlesex Avenue resident was burning a tree stump in his front lawn. Police advised the man of the was parked at Target, it was struck on the rear passenger’s side door, causing a large scratch. She wanted the incident logged. (11:52pm)
  • A gray 2008 Ford Fusion and a black 2012 Volvo SE S60 were involved in a crash at Main Street and Clark Street. No injuries reported. (12:15pm)
  • A caller requested an officer to speak to “disrespectful”  boys who are causing a disturbance at the Shawsheen School playground. Police spoke with the boys and one of their parents. They were advised and sent home. (1:14pm)
  • 2 juveniles from the Milestone Group Home on High Street were reported missing and were entered into the National Crime Information Center. (10:39pm) Police later found them on Main Street and returned them to Milestone. (11:38pm)
