WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington Educational Foundation raised $14,645 (and counting) from its 6th Annual Halloween “Walk For WEF” on Thursday, October 29.
Students participating in the walk dressed in their Halloween costumes for the day and took part in a fun parade around their school building.
Walks took place at the Boutwell Early Childhood Center, Wildwood Early Childhood Center, Woburn Street Elementary School, Shawsheen Elementary School, North Intermediate School and West Intermediate School.
Students raised funds through pledges. All funds raised will benefit the Wilmington Public Schools. 50% of each student’s fundraising total will be donated to his or her school. The other 50% will help fund the Wilmington Educational Foundation’s grant programs involving technology, curriculum, and professional development.
