Stanley J. Gorski, age 82, of Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Wilmington, MA and Malden, MA, died peacefully on October 25, 2015.
Stanley was born in Stoneham, MA on May 13, 1933; he was the dear son of the late Stephen J. and Mabel (Fournier) Gorski. Stanley was raised and educated in Malden, MA; in his late teenage years he moved to Wilmington. Stanley was self-employed in the construction field in Massachusetts for many years before moving to Florida.
Stanley is survived by his daughter Karen Gorski of Jacksonville, FL, his granddaughter Kerry Creech and her husband Jaime and three great-grandchildren, Kendall, Riley and Skyler. Stanley is further survived by his siblings Donald Gorski and his wife Arlene of Wilmington, Shirley McGurn and her husband Edward of Tewksbury, and Helen Sampson of Wilmington, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family & friends will gather for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Dorothy’s Church, Main Street (Route 38), Wilmington, on Monday, November 9th at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers donations in Stanley’s memory may be made to the Brigham & Women’s Hospital, c/o Development Office, 75 Francis Street, Boston, MA 02115. Arrangements are under the direction of the Nichols Funeral Home, Wilmington, MA.
