WILMINGTON, MA — 78 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Friday, October 23, 2015. Here are ELEVEN highlights:
- A walk-in party reported an aggressive operator in a red 1990 Chevy GMT truck, tailgating her from Shawsheen School to Old Shawsheen. (7:17am)
- A brown 2001 Nissan Maxima struck a telephone pole on Salem Street. Car was towed. Driver refused transfer from Fire Department. Police contacted Verizon as pole had damaged. (7:27am)
- A Wilmington recycling barrel and trash barrel were located in front of the Lowe’s Home Improvement in Woburn. Police contacted DPW, which will retrieve them. (12:11pm)
- A caller reported she lost her pocketbook between Market Basket and her West Street residence. Pocketbook was described as black. Police advised caller to cancel all cards with financial institutions. (2:33pm)
- A Fairmeadow Road resident reported it appeared that the town’s water pipe coming into her home was broken, with water filling in her basement. Police contacted the Water Department, who immediately dispatched someone. (4:31pm)
- A Wightman Road resident reported an IRS scam phone call. (4:41pm)
- A deceased turkey was reported on the side of the road on Adams Street. (7:55pm)
- A black 2010 Ford Edge and a blue 2014 Toyota Camry were involved in a car crash, with no injuries, at Reading Cooperative Bank on Middlesex Avenue. (7:58pm)
- Hubcaps were stolen off of a black 2007 Cadillac while parked at the Harnden Tavern on Salem Street. (8:51pm)
- A white 2012 Chevy Cruze and a black 2011 Honda Accord were involved in a minor accident on Ballardvale Street. (9:16pm)
- The street sign at Cresent Street and Broad Street was reported missing. Police notified DPW. (10:37pm)
