WILMINGTON, MA — 54 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Here are ELEVEN highlights:
- Tyler Huebner (22, Wilmington) was arrested for an OUI (Liquor), Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Marked Lanes Violation, and Speeding. Huebner rolled over a white 2014 Nissan Altima. All parties managed to get out of the vehicle. Injuries were reported, but not detailed. Vehicle was towed. Mailbox at 257 Middlesex Avenue was damaged. (2:31am)
- A Cherry Street caller complained of dog parking in area since 5:30am. (8:09am)
- A past larceny from a truck at Door and Door Handling on Andover Street was reported. (12:58pm)
- A Beeching Avenue caller reported receiving a call from someone alleging to be raising money for Wilmington Babe Ruth Baseball. Caller felt it was a scam and disconnected the call after caller wouldn’t give any details. (2:24pm)
- A South Street resident reported receiving an IRS scam call. (2:29pm)
- The Santander Bank manager reported a man in his 60’s entered the bank and asked for $5,000. Employees informed him he did not have an account with them, and he left. Police spoke with the man’s wife by phone, who reported he’s been having memory issues. Police followed up further. (3:01pm)
- A Middlesex Avenue resident reported an ongoing issue with their trash being stolen. (4:24pm)
- A white 2000 Chevy Prizm and a black 2009 Chevy Silverado were involved in a car crash at the Shawsheen School. An injury was noted, but not detailed. At least one vehicle was towed. (5:32pm)
- A missing juvenile was reported from Milestone Group Home on High Street. (6:28pm)
- Police arrested Azwad Anwar (21, Wilmington) for leaving the scene of property damage and a false crime report. Anwar’s SUV allegedly side swiped another vehicle on Wisser Street. (6:33pm)
- A caller reported his truck ran out of gas. It will remain in the 99’s parking lot until the morning. (9:11pm)
