POLICE LOG from October 20: 2 Wilmington Residents Arrested; Good Samaritan Saves Day For Mom

WILMINGTON, MA — 62 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Tuesday, October 20, 2015.  Here are TEN highlights:

  • Animal Control Officer conducted approximately a dozen barn inspections throughout the day. No issues noted.
  • Joshua A. Blackburn (25, Wilmington) was arrested on three drug-related warrants. (9:05am)
  • An unlocked vehicle was entered yesterday at Bandwagon on Industrial Way and a bag containing business and personal information was taken. Several items were found in a lot at 90 Industrial Way this morning. (9:36am)
  • Amanda Provitola (30, Wilmington) was arrested on a warrant of apprehension. (11:08am)
  • A Pine Avenue caller reported receiving a scam IRS call. (11:41am)
  • A green 2010 Toyota Camry and a black 2015 Chevy Silverado were involved in a minor car accident at the Super Petroleum on Main Street. (3:15pm)
  • A green 1998 Chevy K1500 struck a telephone pole on Glen Road. No injuries. (4:35pm)
  • A man wearing a blue hoodie and white pants, approximately 70 year-old, was placing flyers on the windshields of cars as Market Basket. Caller was worried he was checking to see if doors were unlocked. Police investigated. The man was leaving business cards for a new cleaning service. He was sent on his way. (4:39pm)
  • Police came across a woman with a young child trying to make arrangements for a ride back to Lawrence while in a Concord Street parking lot. A good samaritan, with a child safety seat installed, offered to bring them to Lawrence, stating it was on his way home. Woman accepted the ride. (6:31pm)
  • A child from the Milestone Group Home did not return to the home after school. A missing child report was entered into National Crime Information Center database. (7:39pm)
