POLICE LOG from October 17: Car vs. Fox, OUI Arrest, Hit & Run On Main Street

WILMINGTON, MA — 53 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Saturday, October 17, 2015.  Here are SEVEN highlights:

• Andres R. Sanchez (30, Wilmington) was arrested for OUI Liquor (2nd offense) and marked lanes violation on Lowell Street. (2:50am)
• A CVS employee called to report that a female customer was possibly intoxicated. Police gave her a ride back to her apartment. (5:21am)
• DPW requested an officer respond due to multiple vehicles parked on the ambulance access road at the High School, making it impossible to pass. Vehicles were eventually moved. (12:23pm)
• Police assisted with traffic from events at the high school, including an Indian Festival inside and flag football games on the field. More than 800 people were estimated to be at the events. (6:00pm)
• A third party caller reported a hit and run that her daughter was involved in near Charlie’s Autobody on Main Street. A gray 2004 Toyota Corolla was struck by a jeep, possibly gray, which took off north on Main Street. (6:36pm)
• A vehicle struck and killed a fox at Church Street and Adams Street. (8:06pm)
• An assault and battery was reported at the Shriners Auditorium. Female did not want to press charges. Man was asked to leave the establishment. (8:49pm)
