WILMINGTON, MA — 61 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. Here are ELEVEN highlights:
- A gray 2007 Buick Lacrosse and a gray 2005 Cadillac Escalade were involved in a car crash on Sherburn Place. No injuries noted. (6:47am)
- A Middlesex Avenue caller reported that last night, her son heard noises outside and this morning, she found that her garbage was missing. (9:28am)
- Salem Street resident reported a party was using an app that made it appear someone was posting Facebook posts as a different user. Police told resident about harassment prevention order process. (1:24pm)
- A caller from Rigaku Raman Technologies on Upton Drive reported a wire transfer from a company in Italy that was intended to purchase equipment was re-routed to Malta Bank via fraudulent means. (2:23pm)
- A red 2000 Saturn LS2 and a black 2010 GMC Sierra were involved in a minor car crash at Middlesex Avenue and Wildwood Street. No injuries noted. (4:25pm)
- A Woburn Street caller received a scam call from a party claiming to be from Microsoft (802-201-5896). Caller did not exchange any personal information. (4:47pm)
- A caller at Metro at Wilmington Station Apartments on Burlington Avenue reported her mother was bitten by a dog. Caller did not want medical attention. A message was left for the Animal Control Officer. (6:12pm)
- Security Innovations on Ballardvale Street reported receiving harassing phone calls about an employee. Police advised employees of the harassment prevention order process. (7:07pm)
- Wilmington Fire Department responded to an oven fire at Whispering Pines on Salem Street. Owner extinguish fire prior to arrival. Fire was caused by grease. (7:25pm)
- A black 2013 Honda Civic and a blue 2008 Honda Civic were involved in a minor car crash at Route 62 and the 93 Northbound 40 Ramp. No injuries noted. (7:33pm)
- A blue 2004 Honda CRV and a red 2002 Ford F350 were involved in a minor car crash at the 99 Restaurant on Lowell Street. (9:08pm)
