12 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (October 21, 2015)

Here are TWELVE things to do today in Wilmington on Wednesday, October 21, 2015.

#1) The Wilmington School Committee meets at 7pm in the Wilmington High School’s Large Instruction Room. Read the agenda HERE. The School Committee will hear a presentation on the results of district’s youth risk behavior survey.

#2) The Wilmington Conservation Commission meets at 6pm at Town Hall (Room 9). Read the agenda HERE.

#3) The Wilmington High School School Advisory Council (SAC) meets at 3pm in the High School’s Main Office Conference Room. Read the agenda HERE.

#4) Reading Municipal Light Department Citizens’ Advisory Board meets at 6:30pm at RMLD Headquarters (230 Ash Street). Read the agenda HERE.

#5) The Strings Attached Parent Support Group meets at 7:30pm in the Wilmington Middle School Library.

#6) The Wilmington United Methodist Church (87 Church Street) is sponsoring a workshop on the Basic Special Education Rights of Parents and how to obtain services for their children from 6:30pm to 8pm. Learn more HERE.

#7) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding two children’s programs — Star Mag Meeting (3:45pm) and “Not Very Scary Stories” (6:30pm). Learn more HERE.

#8) The Wilmington Police Department offers safety seat installs at the Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) every Wednesday, 10am-2pm. No appointment is necessary, but calling ahead at 978-658-5071 is recommended. Learn more HERE.

#9) The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm. All books are $2 or less!  Every penny of every sale benefits the Wilmington Memorial Library. Learn more HERE.

#10) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its normal Wednesday activities — Podiatrist Visit at 9:30am; Exercising at 9:45am and 11am; and Country Line Dancing at 1pm. Learn more HERE.

#11) WHS Field Hockey visits Stoneham High School at 3:30pm. WHS Volleyball also visits Stoneham High at 5:15pm.

#12) The Town Recycling Center on Old Main Street is open for Brush Drop-Off from 8am to 2pm. Learn more HERE.
