WILMINGTON, MA — 52 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. Here are NINE highlights:
- Police issued a summons to Sergey Vuytik (30, Newton) for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and speeding. Driver’s brown 2001 Toyota Corolla was towed from Forest Street. (8:07am)
- An Appletree Lane caller reported an IRS scam phone call. (8:16am)
- A Muse Avenue resident reported several windows at their home was broken overnight. (10:53am) Caller later reported an additional window was smashed out between 1:30pm and 7:50pm. (7:58pm)
- The burglar alarm in the Bruins Locker Room at Ristuccia Arena was accidentally set off by an employee. (11:49am)
- A blue 1998 Toyota Corolla caught on fire outside CVS on Main Street. Fire Department helped extinguish the vehicle fire. Car owner made arrangements for a tow. (12:34pm)
- A gray 2005 Chrysler CHR and a black 2012 Honda CBR Motorcycle were involved in a minor motor vehicle crash on Shawsheen Avenue. (3:17pm)
- A deceased cat was reported on the side of the road on Adams Street. Caller may try to cover the animal with a blanket so children do not see it. (5:46pm)
- A Winston Avenue caller reported ATV’s in the wetlands behind his house. Police spoke with the parents, who say the kids are supposed to stay on their two acres of land. Mother says she will “take care of it” when the kids return home. (5:54pm)
- Ridic was used as part of the NEMLEC’s search for a missing patient at the Tewksbury State Hospital. The patient was eventually found safe. Read more HERE. (6:53pm)
