WILMINGTON, MA — 91 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Monday, October 5, 2015. Here are TEN highlights:
- An employee of the Shell Station on Main Street reported a white 2010 Chevy Van hit a light post at the station and fled the scene. Caller stated the van had “Advanced Imaging” written on its side. Police visited the business on Ballardvale Street and located the vehicle. (7:00am)
- A caller requested an officer regarding graffiti at Metro at Wilmington Station Apartments on Burlington Avenue. Police investigated. The graffiti was actually on the walkway from Metro to the Train Station, which is MBTA property. (10:32am)
- K9 Ridic and Officer Palmer conducted training at Shriners Auditorium. (11:06am)
- An Ox Bow Drive caller reported possible injured bobcat between her yard and her neighbor’s yard. The bobcat was gone by the time the Animal Control Officer arrived. (12:10am)
- A Pouliot Place caller reported receiving calls from a party claiming to be from the IRS. Caller wanted the incident logged. (12:30pm)
- Anthony DiGiacomo (41, Tewksbury) was issued a summons for misuse of a repair number plate. Repair plate was confiscated pending investigation into allowing improper use or repair plate. Vehicle was towed. (12:45pm)
- Amanda Provitola (30, Wilmington) was placed in protective custody after an argument with a family member. (5:19pm)
- Resident reported his ex-girlfriend and ex-girlfriend’s mother have been sending insulting text messages and possibly driving past his house when he has custody of his children. Police advised him to block the mother’s number and follow the separation agreement. (6:41pm)
- A Woburn Street caller believed someone has been in her basement. Caller found new scuff marks on her refrigerator, clothes taken from a bedroom, and food taken from the kitchen. (7:18pm)
- Michael Murphy (33, Wilmington) was arrested for violating an abuse prevention order. (8:03pm)
