POLICE LOG from October 2: Crash on Butters Row Bridge; Rottweiler Quarantined; Lowell Man Arrested

WILMINGTON, MA — 60 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Friday, October 2.  Here are SIX highlights:

  • An Ayotte Street caller requested an officer speak with a neighbor regarding trash constantly being placed on her property. (9:02am)
  • A caller from Back Bay Sign on Industrial Way reported her employee was bitten on the hip by a rottweiler near her building’s dumpster. The Animal Control Officer issued a 10-day quarantine of the dog. (9:07am)
  • Wael S. Hanna (24, Lowell) was arrested on an outstanding warrant for assault and battery. (11:44am)
  • A green 2005 Ford Escape and a gray 2005 Toyota Sienna were involved in a crash on the Butters Row Bridge. No injuries reported. Damage occurred to the wood railing on the bridge. Police contacted DPW. DPW asked the Police to contact the state agencies, as the bridge is under the state’s jurisdiction. (4:48pm)
  • A gray 2009 Honda Civic caused minor property damage to a residence on Hopkins Street. (10:18pm)
  • A teen was reported missing from Milestone Group Home on High Street. (10:58pm)
