WILMINGTON, MA — 93 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Thursday, October 1. Here are TWELVE highlights:
- A red 2008 Audi A3 and a red 2007 Toyota Highlander were involved in a minor motor vehicle crash at Avalon Oaks. No injuries reported. (7:26am)
- A Cheyenne Drive caller reported power tools and a generator were stolen from a work trailer. (8:31am)
- Police reported a large amount of glass in the road at Main Street and Richmond Street. Mass Highway was notified. (11:10am)
- A caller reported 6 or 7 youths were laying on the railroad tracks in the area of Glen Road. Police were unable to locate anyone. (12:02pm)
- A Rollins Road caller stated suspicious vehicles were parking in front of houses in the area at odd hours. Caller requested extra patrols of the area. (3:12pm)
- An Andover Street caller requested extra enforcement in the area. Caller reported a black Ford pickup truck just went by him going over 60 MPH towards Route 62. Police agree to monitor the area throughout the night. (4:43pm)
- Newton Police requested an officer view a trailer for damage. The tractor trailor was involved in a hit and run accident earlier in Newton. Driver stated he dropped the trailer off at 1 Burlington Avenue. Police observed fresh damage to the trailer, which was photographed. (4:48pm)
- A McDonald road resident received three calls from the individuals claiming to be from the IRS. (6:20pm)
- A brown 2014 Honda CRV and a gray 2002 Chevy Malibu were involved in a motor vehicle crash in front of Panera Bread. No injuries reported. (7:12pm)
- A green 2006 Subaru Outback broke down on the I93 North Exit 40 ramp. State Police handled the situation. (10:05pm)
- An Ashwood Avenue caller walking their dog reported seeing a possible transformer explosion in the area. A caller from SolarCity on Research Drive also reported a power outage. (11:37pm)
- A caller from the 99 Restaurant requested police presence for a disgruntled former employee who returned to the restaurant prior to the staff leaving for the night. Police responded. It turned out the individual in question had been misidentified and was not the former employee in question. Police still stood by while the staff walked out of the building. (11:46pm)
