OBITUARY: Joseph O. “JD” DeCicco, Jr., 32

Joseph O. “JD” DeCicco, Jr., age 32, a longtime resident of Lowell, died at home unexpectedly Oct. 3, 2015.

He was born in Malden, Sept. 6, 1983, beloved son of Teresa G. Luzzatto of Fall River and Joseph O. DeCicco, Sr. of Malden.

JD worked as an executive chef at Sodexo in Wilmington for 12 years.

He loved sports and was an avid fan of the Boston Teams. He enjoyed playing cards, and fishing with his nephews.

He is survived by his mother, Terry and her partner, Natasha Nash of Fall River; his father, Joseph and his wife Suzanne of Malden; his stepfather, Bryan Cabral of Dracut; his daughter, Alexia DeCicco and her mother, Robin Frechette of Lowell; three brothers, Bryan Cabral of Lowell, Patrick DeCicco of Malden, and Jonathan DeCicco of Malden; his sister, Danielle DeCicco and her husband, Jeff Driscoll of Dracut; two nephews, Anthony and J.J. Driscoll; his paternal grandparents, John & Theresa DeCicco of Haverhill; also several aunts, uncles & cousins. He was grandson of the late Beatrice Luzzatto.

ARRANGEMENTS – Relatives and friends will be received at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Thursday Oct. 8, 2015, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Funeral Friday morning with funeral mass to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Rita Church, Mammoth Rd., Lowell, MA. Interment is private.
