WILMINGTON, MA — 90 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Tuesday, September 29. Here are NINE highlights:
- A resident called to report a suspicious vehicle in the neighborhood. Police investigated. It was a vehicle belonging to a newspaper delivery person. (4:34am)
- A hit and run occurred involving a parked vehicle at Sonny’s Mobile on the Run on Lowell Street. Police will respond back when manager is on scene to review security tapes. (8:37am)
- The Fire Department removed a remote control helicopter from a roof. (8:53am)
- James M. McDonald (31, Lynn) was arrested on outstanding warrants — traffic violations and assault & battery. Police picked McDonald up on Lowell Street, asking for a ride to the train station. (8:55am)
- A Hobson Avenue reported he received three calls from 929-227-5765. He stated a man on the other end was breathing heavy and making lewd comments. Station officer attempted to call the number back and didn’t get an answer. (10:09am)
- Mark J. Szczesuil (48, North Reading) was placed in protective custody. Szczesuil was picked up on Salem Street, walking in the road. (10:19am)
- A blue 2011 Jeep Patriot and a white 2001 Volkswagen Jetta were involved in a minor car accident in the Lucci’s Supermarket Plaza. (5:14pm)
- A caller reported her daughters are receiving suspicious Snapchat messages. (8:07pm)
- Needles were reported on the ground of Avalon Drive. Police retrieved for destruction. (9:07pm)
