WILMINGTON, MA — In April, the Town Common lights were turned blue in observance of Autism Awareness Month and Autism Speak’s “Light It Up Blue” campaign.
In May, the Town Common lights were turned purple in recognition of Relay For Life Awareness Month and American Cancer Society’s “Paint The Town Purple” campaign.
This month, the Town Common lights have been turned pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The idea came forward from a resident who wishes to remain anonymous. The resident, a cancer survivor, also donated the gels (filters) to turn the lights pink.
